If you were old enough to appreciate music in the '90s, then chances are you were a Celine Dion fan at one point or another. The Canadian singer was EVERYWHERE in the '90s, with hits like My Heart Will Go On, Because You Loved Me, and All By Myself. Celine can SING, and her voice garnered her millions of fans all over the world. We also enjoyed following along with the love story between Celine and her late husband, René Angélil. Their relationship started off in a professional capacity, when Angélil discovered 12-year-old Celine and launched her successful career. They married in 1994, and were happily married until Angélil's death from cancer in 2016. Celine hasn't released new music since his death, although she did put on a popular residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. She said at the time that the residency allowed her to be present in her children's lives.
But with her Vegas residency coming to an end in June, Celine is ready to embark on her next adventure: a North American tour and new studio album!

Celine Dion announced her North American tour on her website and social media accounts. The tour officially kicks off with a show in Quebec City on September 18, and she'll be stopping in more than 50 North American cities through 2019 and the beginning of 2020.
In a livestream performance and Q&A session on her official Facebook page, Celine said she felt it was time for a change. Her kids are older now (son Rene-Charles is 18 and twins Nelson and Eddy are 8), and they won't be accompanying her on this tour. In the same video, Celine also announced that she's expecting to release a new album in November, her first since the death of her husband/manager.
When Angélil died, Celine was very open about the struggle she had adjusting to life without him. She's said he was the only man she's ever loved, but that she's at peace with the fact that he's no longer suffering. She also said that she knows he would want her to continue pursuing her passion, to show him that she was OK and their family would be OK. It sounds like Celine is finally ready to begin the next leg of her journey, and we can't wait to see what she has in store for us.
Tickets for the tour are on sale starting Friday April 12, and Team Celine presale started Monday April 8.
