10 Famous Moms Who Had Kids Later In Life

It’s hard to tell when someone is ready to have children. Some might say that no parents are every truly 'ready' for it at all, but some times of life are better for it than others.

These days, there are a lot more women who are choosing to wait until they are a bit older to have children. There are a lot of reasons for that. Some need fertility treatments, others want to wait until they are more financially stable, and others want to have a career first. These famous moms have waited a bit to have kids, as have many others.

10 Molly Ringwald

Actress Molly Ringwald has certainly done a lot with her life. She has starred in a lot of very popular films (especially in the 1980s) and she has also had some pretty awesome roles on television as well.

Ringwald had her oldest child in 2003 when she was in her thirties. But the actress also gave birth to two more children seven years later, when she was 41. Her oldest child is named Mathilda, and Ringwald’s two youngest children are named Roman and Adele. One fun fact about her youngest children is that they are actually a set of twins.

Brooke Shields is known for a lot of things. She is an actress and a model who has had a very successful career. But another thing she is known for is the fact that she brought a lot of attention to something very serious, which is postpartum depression. The mother of two had children at ages 38 and 41.

But she also has been really successful in other areas of life as well. She had her first child when she was 40, and her second child came when she was 42. The fashionista and her husband, Rodger Berman, named their first baby Skyler. Furthermore, when the loving parents had their second child, they named him Kaius. Skyler’s middle name is Morrison, and Kaius’s middle name is Jagger.

Actress Eva Longoria delighted her fans all around the world at the end of 2017 when everyone found out that she was pregnant with her first child. Longoria also claimed that she waited because she did not have a serious partner for a while, and she wanted to wait until she did have one.

Lopez welcomed her two adorable kids into the world back in 2008 when she and her ex-husband, singer Marc Anthony, were still together. The singer was 38 years old at the time. The two famous stars are no longer together, but they are doing an awesome job co-parenting their little ones.

Actress Nicole Kidman was once married to actor Tom Cruise. Together, the pair adopted two children, and their names are Isabella and Connor.

So, Kidman did not technically wait long to become a mother. But, she did wait a while to have a child of her own.

The actress, who is now married to country music singer Keith Urban, gave birth to Sunday Rose a few years ago, when Kidman was 40. But, the two stars actually share two children with each other. After giving birth to Sunday, the famous pair used a surrogate to have their second child, Faith.
