It's been a bit of a tough year for pop princess Britney Spears. The iconic singer checked herself into a wellness facility back in April amid rumors that her mental health was at risk and recently she and ex-husband Kevin Federline were back in court to adjust their custody agreement after allegations that her father, Jamie Spears, struck one of her sons. Spears has lived her life under the harsh glare of the celebrity spotlight since she was just a teenager so it's understandable when she recently admitted that she struggles with self-esteem issues.

Anyone who follows Spears on Instagram knows that her posts are a combination of sweet shots with her boyfriend Sam Asghari, mini fashion shows in her home and workout videos. Spears takes her fitness very seriously and a recent video showed that not only does working out help with her physical health and fitness but her mental health and fitness as well.

The video showcases Spears working with her gym trainer doing a combination of yoga poses as they work together. In the caption of her short video she writes, "Body language is everything! The way you speak to yourself and carry yourself can affect your mood ... I have self-esteem problems so I slouch," she explained.

"These poses help me every day become stronger and it’s quite fun doing them ... I feel so different every time I do it, cause I’m not used to the feeling of my back being out!!!!" she added.

Spears introduces the short clip saying "So basically what I’m going to do today with my gym coach is basically arch my back," she explains of what viewers will see in the video. "By hanging upside down, it opens my back and enables me to breathe better and to open up and to feel better. So, here I go."

The video then shows a bikini-clad Spears working with her gym coach as he balances her on his feet and helps her to arch her back and work on some deep stretches as they move through different poses. This isn't the first time that Spears has posted her yoga videos with her gym coach but it is the first time she's directly mentioned having self-esteem issues as one of the reasons she's choosing to work on her posture.

It's obvious that fitness has been a huge part of Spears' life lately. In a recent post, she admitted that she looks forward to her morning work out writing, "Thank God for Mother Nature ... she’s my best friend at the moment... !!!!!!!! My normal yoga and weights routine always gets me going!!!!! Great day !!!!!!!"

Britney looks better than ever so whatever she's doing, it's working!
