REVIEW: Britax B-Lively Double Stroller

One of the first things parents have to do when they find out they're expecting a baby, whether it be their first, second, or maybe even twins on the way, is start researching the products they're going to need. Some are necessary -- like a safe car seat and usable stroller -- but with so many options out there, finding the one that will work best for you can be a challenge. Baby items don't come cheap so it's not practical to test a few out and just pick up another if it doesn't work.

With finding the best stroller for your needs, you want to make sure you've considered all the things you're going to use it for.  Not only for those quick trips to the grocery store, but also the daily walks to get you out of the house, the trips to the zoo, and along with you to every errand you need to run. For some parents, the stroller is like a second vehicle, a way to keep your kids happy while getting you out of the house. When you have two kids, whether it be twins, kids close in age, or a baby and a toddler, finding a double stroller for all the needs will make everything easier.

Moms.com got the opportunity to test out the Britax B-Lively Double Stroller to give our honest opinion on it. Using an 18-month old and a child at the max-weight every day for nearly a month in this stroller, we've come to really appreciate the perks this double stroller has to offer.

What We Like

It is very obvious this stroller was thought out long and hard for parents who have two or more kids. We've tested out so many double strollers over the years and this one is next level in terms of ease of use while wheeling around two kids, and transporting it from the home garage into the car trunk. The adjustable handle bar makes it easy to use between parents who are of differing sizes and makes it comfortable to push when a child at max weight is sitting in the seat. Being able to turn the stroller effortlessly with one hand because the wheels glide so nicely is a major plus. The canopy is nice and large, the 5-point harness buckles feel solid and are easy to use.

Considerations

With this being a side-by-side double stroller vs the one in front of another type, you need to be aware of taking up the whole sidewalk when strolling with your babies and have good spacial awareness for doors. It does clear most entryways just fine, but you may come across one that's just slightly too small to enter through. Another consideration is the lack of cup holder for parents with this model opting for the larger canvas pockets at the pack vs the hard plastic ones you typically see (which is a bonus but be aware there's nowhere for your coffee). This model also doesn't come with a child bar across the front for them to put their sippy cups and snacks, but there is an add-on accessory you can buy for this purpose.
