One little boy wrote his letter to Santa and all he wanted this year is love. It is a refreshing reminder of what is important. Every year at Christmas time, children all over the world write their letters to Santa. They are normally letters filled with wishes of toys, puppies and ponies. They are written promises that they have been good this year, and they will continue to be good if Santa just brings them their one wish that they want. Very rarely do we get to see letters that have a more humble and heartwarming request.

According to Today, one letter to Santa is going viral because of the boy’s genuine request for more love in the world. The letter was posted on Twitter, and it is quickly catching the attention of people all over the world.

In the letter, the boy asks the big man if he supports the LGBTQ community and if Santa has a chance to speak to God, could he let Him know that he loves Him. He also wanted to know if God loves him for being gay. This letter was shared by the United States Postal Service when they received it as part of their Operation Santa project. They had shared other letters as well and a lot of them were coming from children who just wanted things to help their parents.

Another girl, an 11-year-old asked Santa for a pull-out couch, an odd request from a tween. She explained that she lives in a 1-bedroom apartment and that her parents sleep in the living room (presumably, so she can have the bedroom). She says that her parent are always waking up with back pain from their uncomfortable sleeping situation. She said that her dad works a lot so all of this back-pain stresses him out.

Operation Santa has been running for more than 100 years now, and it matches children’s letters up with kind “elves” who try and fill the wishes of children. We are truly hoping that a pull-out couch is purchased, but we are also hoping that this little boy receives all the love this year. If he has the chance to go online and see the kind of responses his letter is getting from complete strangers, he will no doubt have his Christmas wish fulfilled. Sometimes, it takes the hearts and minds of innocent, young children to humble us all this time of year.
