When you are a parent, you will do almost anything to see your child happy and completely melt whenever you can see joy in their eyes. This is exactly what happened recently whenever a father took his son to visit a local animal shelter with the goal of just looking at some chickens. What ended up happening will pretty much make your heart explode.
According to The Good News Network, a young father took his son to visit an animal shelter and didn't expect to come home with a puppy that day. However, the world had a completely different plan. The father spotted a black-and-white pup with a cleft lip just like his son’s and they were a match made in history right from the second the pup and the boy laid eyes on one another.
Little Bentley, who’s now aged two, was so delighted to meet his new best friend and you can see the happiness written all over his face.
Bentley’s mom, Ashley Boyers, shared with ClickOnDetroit that she just loves that Bentley and the puppy ”have something in common with a puppy means a lot because he can grow up and understand that he and his puppy both have something that they can share in common.”
Swoon.
With Bentley having multiple surgeries under his belt to correct his Cleft lip, he knew that he had met his instant match in the new pup and their love is contagious.
Writing on Facebook, the Jackson Country Animal Shelter said, “It’s so hard to put into words how meaningful this adoption is to all of us… We wish many years of joy as this special pair grow up together!”
Growing up with something like a cleft lip or anything considered to be a disability leaves you yearning to find others that have gone through similar experiences. Finding that in a special friend that you will have by your side your entire life is truly a gift.
