Mattel has high hopes that this collection will prove popular with consumers. "This collection is an opportunity for Barbie to connect with girls through fun fashion that also inspires an aspirational future,” says Janet Hsu, Chief Franchise Management Officer for Mattel.

“Our aim is to reiterate and echo Barbie's message ‘You Can Be Anything’ while playing into today’s most popular trends, effectively empowering girls to dream big and discover their own unique style."

Each item of clothing is available in sizes XS-XL.

The Barbie brand has come on leaps and bounds since the first doll was released in March 1959. Mattel has worked hard on expanding the range to be more inclusive as of late, releasing an acclaimed line of "Fashionista" dolls that have curvy, petite, tall and original sized dolls for kids to enjoy.

Despite being 60, Barbie has never gotten old and continues to appeal to new generations. Happy birthday B, here's to the next six decades!
