'Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader' Is Coming Back With A New Host

Good news for fans of the hit TV show "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader". A reboot of the show is coming to Nickelodeon with a brand new host. Who will it be? None other than professional wrestler and actor John Cena!

The newest edition of the popular game show (which is also produced by Cena) will be airing on Monday, June 10th, at 7pm (ET/PT). The show follows a group of children as they try and help adults to win money at a knowledge test. The information used in the test is taken from an elementary school curriculum. Easy peasy, right? Well, not so much.

Adult contestants in the show will be reviewing questions from primary grades 1 through 4 in order to answer knowledge questions. They will be aided by a revolving cast of fifth grade schoolchildren: Amira from Orlando, Fla.; Chloe from Queens, N.Y.; Colin from Dallas; Cooper from Porter Ranch, Calif.; Isabella from St. Cloud, Fla.; Jamir from Atlanta; Mia from New Orleans; Nick from Broomall, Pa.; Patrick from Lehigh Valley, Pa.; Quinne from Los Angeles; Saya from Peachtree City, Ga.; and Tristan from Aurora, Ill.

In the final round of the contest, the adult contestants are quizzed with fifth grade questions, as they compete for the jackpot payday of a potential $100,000. The new version of this show will have some new options for contestants to get help from their child tutors, including a "cheat" option.

Although we would love to think that we as adults are definitely smarter than fifth graders, the beauty of this show is that it highlights just how much of our primary school knowledge we lose along the way. I mean, use it or lose it right?

The premier schedule of the show's launch by Nickelodeon is as follows: a week of new shows will start on Monday June 10th at 7pm, followed by more new episodes airing at 7pm on Monday June 17th through Wednesday June 19th. The show will move to it's permanent Monday night timeslot starting on Monday June 24th (at 7pm).
