UPDATE: It has since come to light that some sources report that the entire plan was a joke, we will continue to update our coverage once we have more information

Have you ever heard something so horrifying that it almost literally makes your skin crawl? This is one of those stories and something that we are completely unable to stop thinking about - that's how bonkers this is.

A Facebook post, recently written by an Australian anti-vaxx mother went completely viral as she announced her plan to hand out lollipops contaminated with the Chicken Pox for Halloween. What was her reasoning? To give children the "gift" of lifelong immunity.

This case is currently under investigation by the police, if you were wondering.

The post was shared via a screenshot to a  Facebook page called Light for Riley, which is a dedication page for an infant boy who was tragically killed by whooping cough back in 2015. You are able to read verbatim how the mom publicly shared her plan to an infamous Facebook group called Stop Mandatory Vaccination. This is a dangerous page where anti-vaxx parents gather to share ideas how some pretty harmful thing.

This is most definitely something that will put you at a loss for words.

The original post read, “So my beautiful son [redacted] has the chicken pox at the moment and we’ve both decided to help others with natural immunity this Halloween! We have the packaging open and closing down pat and can’t wait to help others in our community.”

Our skin is crawling.

The woman who wrote the post claims to be nurse at Queensland Hospital, though the hospital did comment on the post and say that no one by her name works there. “There are no current or former employees by that name that have worked for Queensland Health as a registered nurse,” the hospital posted on Facebook. “This is a serious issue and has been referred to police, who are investigating.”

Due to the virality of the post, the woman, whose Facebook name is Sarah Walker RN, she responded with a second post saying, “You say I’m vile and gross like I have done something that hundreds of thousands of parents haven’t already done,” she wrote. “How many times do you see children dropped off to day care or school when they’re clearly sick and contagious? Exactly! And I’m offering life long immunity for the price of a couple of blisters and a few days off school.”

Now, we all know that in most cases, whenever people have had the Chicken Pox they are then immune to getting it again, but what this woman was writing about doing was spreading an infections disease, and illegal.

Experts at Queensland Health told reporters that the virus can’t live on surfaces for very long. But even tampering with food in this way is a serious offense in Australia, which could lead to up to 15 years of jail time. Even claiming to be tampering with food without actually doing it could lead to up to 10 years in prison.

Lucky for everyone involved, this post was written by an internet troll. However, you can never be too cautious these days.
