A lot of people really love horror movies, there is something exciting about being scared, but it can go south really quick when our favorite scary movies are based on real life events. It is suddenly not so much fun, and it makes it all a bit more terrifying. The movie Annabelle, while mostly fiction, was based on actions caused by a real doll. The real doll has been under lock and key at a museum in Connecticut, which is full of paranormal items kept by Ed and Lorraine Warren the popular paranormal investigators.
Annabelle, the real doll, has been a trending topic recently on Twitter and that is because a rumor got out that the doll had escaped. That’s right, that the doll had opened the glass cage it is in and ran out of the museum. That is enough of a scary movie in itself.

According to Heavy, the rumor started when Annabelle Wallis, an actress who had worked with Tom Cruise, gave an interview about how she was able to get the star to run with her. That somehow got changed to “Annabelle escaped” in a way only something on the internet could.
What followed was a slew of tweets about the haunted doll and how she may be running around somewhere. The real Annabelle doll looks nothing like the doll portrayed in the film, it is actually a Raggedy Anne doll. One user on YouTube has been quick to point out that this is just another internet hoax, and there is no haunted Raggedy Anne doll just running down the streets of Connecticut. We can all sleep a little better at night.
