Anna Duggar is pretty active with her Instagram account. She frequently posts pictures of her rapidly growing family (her sixth child is due this year!) But she rarely talks about her husband, Josh Duggar. In a recent post, she actually gives him a special shout-out, which isn't something she normally does.
It's not that Anna doesn't share pictures of Josh on her Instagram. But she rarely calls him out by his name. And it looks like they spend a lot of time together as a family, but even then, she doesn't really talk about them as a couple. Given everything that's happened in the last few years, it's not really a surprise.

• M O N D A Y N I G H T • (Family Night) It’s becoming the favorite night of the week! Josh and I enjoyed spending time in the kitchen together making some grass-fed steak fajitas🥩👩🏻🍳👨🏻🍳. Tonight we celebrated Mason’s 2nd Birthday with Michelle and cousin Evan🎂. We also celebrated Dwain & Lana’s Anniversary👰🏼💓🤵🏼! (Joe and Kendra are out of town so we will probably celebrate their anniversary next week 😉) It was a great evening hearing from Austin about the work he did with the Medic Corps team in the Bahamas 🇧🇸🚁 . Watching Dwain & Lana play the newlywed game💘📋 (I’m so thankful for this couple, they are not just family and sweet friends, they are awesome mentors who are always saying an encouraging word and living out a genuine love for God and others 🙌🏼) and of course enjoying some ice cream cake since there were so many things to celebrate🍦😋! Family is such a treasure, and life is short! I miss having Great-Grandma here, she never missed a birthday and would join in on all the family night games — even if the game included eating nasty Jelly Beans. Wherever your family is — be sure to let them know how much you love them, you never know when it will be your last time you have a chance to say it! Well, It’s been a great day — so many special people were celebrated and i’m closing out the day with a heart full of thankfulness! 💛 P.S. — One more thing I’m celebrating is Mason as outgrown his dairy allergy — he thinks ice cream is pretty good too! 🐮 #littleduggars
She began the post's caption saying that Monday night is "becoming the favorite night of the week!" Then she added that "Josh and I enjoyed spending time in the kitchen together making some grass-fed steak fajitas." The post features their current youngest kid, Mason with a cake and then a picture of the fajitas. Looks like they made them in the InstantPot, which makes sense when you're feeding a crowd!
Monday nights have become "family night" for the Duggars. As many of the older kids that are available bring their families over to Jim Bob and Michelle's. It seems that is the best way for everyone to spend time and reconnect, as they all have busy lives now. But they always come together for big things like birthdays and such.
On this particular Monday, they were celebrating Mason's 2nd birthday (complete with ice cream cake!) According to the caption, they were also celebrating the anniversary of Dwain and Lana, sister-in-law Lauren Swanson's parents. Lauren is married to Josiah Duggar, and one of the other pregnant Duggar sisters.
"Watching Dwain & Lana play the newlywed game (I’m so thankful for this couple, they are not just family and sweet friends, they are awesome mentors who are always saying an encouraging word and living out a genuine love for God and others)" she wrote.
She also mentions that Joe and Kendra were out of town and "we will probably celebrate their anniversary next week." It's clear that Anna values the time the family spends together. "Family is such a treasure, and life is short!" she writes. She also mentions missing Grandma Mary Duggar who passed away suddenly earlier this year. "I miss having Great-Grandma here, she never missed a birthday and would join in on all the family night games," she says.
