Andy Cohen is a daddy! And this new role looks good on him.
Our favorite Bravo-lebrity and "Watch What Happens Live" host announced back in December that he was expecting his first child vis surrogate. He shared the news, live on his show and stressed how important family is to him and that after many prayers and thanks to science, he will "become a father, thanks to a wonderful surrogate who is carrying my future," he said. Swoon.
For the past two months, we have all waited with anticipation to hear more about the journey to becoming a dad that Cohen, 50, would be taking and of course for our Instagram feeds to be filled with sweet little baby pictures. He received an outpour of excitement and congratulations from celebrity friends such as Meghan McCain, Ramona Singer and Lisa Rinna upon the announcement. But we hadn't heard much more than that, until now.
On Monday night, Cohen announced through an Instagram post that he is officially a father and that the new baby is here. The picture showed a glowing Cohen, sharing that his new son was born at 6:35pm that evening (PST time), weighing nine pounds and two ounces and is twenty inches long.
"He is named after my grandfather Ben Allen," the post read. "I'm in love. And speechless. And eternally grateful to an incredible surrogate. And I'm a dad. Wow."
We are so excited for you, Andy, and can't wait to follow along through your fatherhood journey!
