Nickelodeon Announces 'America’s Most Musical Family'

Nickelodeon has announced their stellar line up of judges for its new reality talent show set to premiere later this fall. Nick Lachey will host America's Most Musical Family, a reality show that will feature thirty musically talented families as they compete for a recording contract with Republic Records and $250,000!

The reality show, set to begin production this week in LA, will be judged by singer Ciara, 80's icon Debbie Gibson and popular YouTube personality David Dobrik. Ciara will also serve as executive producer of the series alongside Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman, Claire Kosloff and showrunner Jeff Boggs.

America's Most Musical Family differs from the traditional reality talent shows in that it's searching for acts that are made up of family members. The show will search for a wide variety of different musical acts that consist of two or more relatives. There will be father and daughter duos, groups of siblings who perform together and even one 12-member multigenerational brass ensemble!

The series will consist of 12 hour-long episodes and one half-hour special that the entire family will love to watch together. "We are thrilled to welcome Nick Lachey and our incredibly talented judges—Ciara, David Dobrik and Debbie Gibson—to Nickelodeon," Rob Bagshaw, Executive Vice President of Unscripted Content said in a statement. "Nick continues to wow crowds performing alongside his brother Drew in 98°; Debbie remains the record-holder as the youngest female artist to write, produce and perform a number-one hit; David’s razor-sharp wit and expertise in the digital world will help families build their brand; and Ciara leads her own family in the spotlight as she continues her chart-topping career as a true triple threat. But ultimately, this competition for all ages is about celebrating exceptionally talented families. We’re in for a spectacular show," he added.

Not only is this show a great opportunity for the entire family to watch some quality entertainment together, but it's also a great chance for talented families to try out for the show as well. If you're interested in auditioning you can fill out an application form online here, or check out their upcoming casting calls here.
