There has been a lot of drama in Teen Mom world lately. Amber Portwood of Teen Mom OG was recently arrested. There were reports that she was being fired from the show. But apparently, she may still get to stay in the cast, despite the situation.

As of right now, MTV isn't making any definitive decisions about Amber Portwood. So, right now, she's still apart of Teen Mom OG. Of course, that could change in the future, but according to US Weekly, MTV is “waiting to see how it plays out.” Because shows thrive on drama, it makes sense that MTV isn't making a decision yet.

It is worth noting that Amber Portwood is bipolar and has borderline personality disorder. From reports, she was arrested on domestic battery charges. She had a machete and turned it on her boyfriend, Andrew Glennon. They share a son, James, who is 14 months. At the time of the incident, Glennon was holding the little one.

"[Amber Portwood] struck the machete at and into a door, while Andrew Glennon was standing directly on the other side of the door, that created a substantial risk of bodily injury to Andrew Glennon,” says the documents from the Marion Superior Court.

The Ashley's Reality Roundup obtained an affidavit saying that Portwood also threatened to kill herself. According to the affidavit, Portwood "went to her drawer and took a handful of Klonopin and tossed it back like it was nothing.”

All of this stemmed from a lack of proper plans for the 4th of July apparently. Portwood was taken into custody and released on a $2,000 cash bond the next day. As a result, she's been ordered to stay away from Glennon, who currently has custody of their child. Currently, he is seeking full custody of the child. Given the situation, there is little doubt that he will be granted full custody.

A source tells US Weekly that the couple is “still not allowed to communicate,” but “the situation seems to have calmed down a bit.” So, it's hard to know exactly what that means for the couple. Maybe they could get back together? Only time will tell exactly what happens for the couple in the future once they're allowed to see each other again.

Perhaps all of this unknown is why Portwood “hasn’t been threatened with getting fired.” MTV may be waiting for some more definitive action to be taken. And then once it has, they will make their final decision. Only time will tell.
