Parenting essentially means many sleepless nights, lots of cuddles and so much cleaning. It's like every time we turn around there is another spill, another bottle or sippy cup to scoop unknown contents out of and endless tubby time. There are the things that we clean like clockwork every single day (ahem, high chair trays), but more often than not, there are things that we overlook - probably because we're so busy with all the other stuff. This mom is setting the record straight about cleaning that Pack-n-Play that's probably somewhere in your living room and you're going to want to copy ASAP.

In all seriousness though, after reading this hack, you're probably going to want to soak pretty much everything you own. For real. It's that awesome.

Allie Fraze, who is a mom to a nearly 2-year-old, read about a cleaning method for her kid's pack-n-plays and was a little bit skeptical until she tried it herself.  After doing the "hack" only one time, she realized that it needed a whole PSA dedicated to it so that every parent would give it a try, too. Time to add Pack-n-Plays to that list of things we're cleaning regularly.

Allie shared her advice over on Facebook and it has gone completely viral (and we totally see why!).

She explains that all this hack takes is your favorite laundry detergent, some hot water and some sprinkles of baking soda and you are ready to go. Thankfully, we all have these items handy and lying around our homes, making it even easier to do on a daily basis.

Simply fill your bathtub up with the hot water, place the folded up Pack-n-Play inside with your laundry detergent and baking soda and rotate after it's been soaking for 45 minutes. After it's done soaking, take it outside, hose it down with a garden hose and let it dry outside.

"This water was HOT AND CLEAR when I started. It is now a disgusting brown-yellow color from all the dirt and other nastiness JT's crib has collected. I will now be doing this MONTHLY," she said.

More often than not, we do a visual test with our Pack-n-Plays and if nothing has been spilled or dirt hasn't been brought into it, we just assume that it's clean. This goes to show that there is more than meets the eye and with the amount of time that our little ones actually spend inside these items, we want to keep them as clean as possible.
