Alanis Morissette released Jagged Little Pill On June 13, 1995. The seminal album spoke to women and men everywhere for its blunt honesty and heartfelt approach. Now, Morissette has announced a Jagged Little Pill tour for summer 2020, which has fans ecstatic.

For many of us, the album speaks to every heartbreak, setback and triumph we have known in life. Morissette, who followed in the tradition of women songwriters before her, upped the ante with her liberating lyrics and lack of posturing. Jagged Little Pill sold more than 16 million copies in the U.S. and 33 million worldwide, making it the second biggest-selling album by a female artist behind Shania Twain's Come On Over.

Now a mom, who shared her nearly decade-long experience with postpartum depression on CBS This Morning, Morissette can still rock with the best of them and belt out a tune like nobody’s business. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Jagged Little Pill with a tour of North America, the singer will hold 31 shows across the US and Canada from June 2 to July 25. She will start in Portland and end in Nashville and be joined by two other 90s icons: Liz Phair and the band Garbage.

On December 10, tickets for the Jagged Little Pill tour will go on sale to the general public on LiveNation.com and each sale will include a copy of Morissette’s newest single (“Reasons I Drink”) and a download of her new album Such Pretty Forks in the Road.

If you’re still in the mood for more Jagged Little Pill, the Jagged Little Pill musical is opening this week on Broadway in New York City, and on December 12, Morissette will be getting the Billboard Women in Music Icon Award.
