Most of us are quarantining at home, dreaming of the days we could pop by the salon at any time for an impromptu haircut, or to fix an appointment for a new hairstyle. Of course, we're all hoping that the day is not far off, when we can go back to our favorite hair dresser and get some highlights or trims done.

Many celebrities are on the same train of thought. But some have taken it upon themselves to experiment on their hair at home. No better time to work on our creativity than now, right? Here are 7 celebrity mom hair transformations we love - some done during quarantine, and others just before:

1. Hilary Duff

The Lizzie McGuire star took it upon herself to color her hair blue 3 weeks ago. The shoulder bob adds sleek to the look, allowing the blue to do its work of added playfulness. Of course, we're loving the tones of blue we can see in this - light, pastel, and dark, almost like a deep blue ocean with waves. Hilary captions her photo "🤷🏼‍♀️yea.", throwing some doubt or initial shock at her new look, but we all know she's totally rocking it, and just in time for spring!

2. Jennifer Love Hewitt

Jennifer Love Hewitt asks in her post, "what else can I do right now!" and we are feeling that mood. But nothing a quick adventure of hair coloring can't fix. Jennifer went for something bold but fun, "hot pink" as she describes it. She decided to do highlights, which gives her overall look an ombre or balayage style. We are loving this look on her, and by the looks of her smile, so is she.

3. Sarah Michelle Gellar

Keeping the pink trend going, Sarah Michelle Gellar colors her hair pink as well, hashtagging her post "#roseallday" and we can't keep calm. Her post could probably relate to some moms considering she did this to embarrass her children. She says, "Since we're still in quarantine, I had to think of a new and creative way to embarrass my children. Quarancolor!" Are any of us thinking of jumping on this train for similar reasons? Either way, we think Sarah is looking stellar in this new look, and the kids may not be embarrassed about it at all!

4. Jada Pinkett Smith

Jada Pinkett Smith has had long, blonde braids all of 2019, and with this picture she posted, we see the braids are gone, but the blonde stays in the form of bangs. Not just regular bangs, curly bangs. Can we take a moment to understand how this style is not one everyone can pull off? But Jada carries the look with so much ease and elegance. Overall, we are loving the whole sleek look this short hair is bringing. We can't wait to see what other styling techniques she has up her sleeve for this new look!

5. Katherine Heigl

A family haircut is one of the best ways to spend some quality time together. Katherine Heigl posted this picture 10 weeks ago, right before we started quarantine. She and her kids got a haircut together, but only her son managed to pose for the pictures, as the girls are "hiding cause they don’t want to be in the pic." She went for a simple bob cut, something very ideal to do for spring/summer. It looks very sleek, and complements her face shape very well. The mother and son are definitely pulling off their new looks really well, and we know for a fact that Katherine herself is enjoying her new haircut. We don't blame her - we're obsessed as well!

6. Lily Allen

Following the theme of sleek bobs, Lily Allen makes us all instantly fall in love with her new hairdo. Posted towards the end of 2019, she styles her hair away from her usual side-swept straight hair to something more cinematic. She carries the chic bob with ease, while adding a fringe that complements the frame of her face perfectly. We are loving the whole 70's theme that this look exudes. Lily's winged liner definitely adds to the vibe, but with or without it, she looks flawless.

7. Tamera Mowry-Housley

Tamera Mowry-Housley has recently been letting her hair lose (literally) on her Instagram feed, and we are not complaining. She is embracing her curls and we can't get enough of it. She says, "All dressed up to go downstairs 🤣" - well, why not? And if you look like that, lucky for your kids and hubby! We are on board with this natural look and love it!
