In addition to being an award-winning actress, Jennifer is an activist for early childhood education, a co-founder of an organic baby food company, and a hands-on mother of three. Surely she can't find the time (or the energy) to be amazing at all of those things, can she?! THINK AGAIN. Anyone who follows Jennifer Garner on Instagram knows that she is total #MomGoals. Seriously, this woman is like the ultimate overachieving Pinterest-mom who we all love to hate, but secretly want to become (plus we can't hate her, she just seems too nice). Jennifer makes all of her children's food from scratch, walks them to and from school every single day, has long-standing family traditions (such as "yes day," family scarecrows, and blueberry picking), and isn't afraid to stand on a street corner hawking Girl Scout cookies. She's funny, relatable, and tries really hard to give her kids a normal childhood, despite their having famous parents.

"It's really important for my kids to see that everyone doesn't have the lives they see in Los Angeles. That doesn't reflect the rest of the world. I want them to grow up with the Southern values I had—to look at people when they say hello and to stop and smell the roses. If I could do half as good a job as my mom did, I'd be pretty happy," Jennifer told Southern Living magazine.

It seems like she's doing a pretty good job to us (and honestly, Ben isn't doing that bad, either).

First, here are 21 photos of Jennifer Garner parenting like a boss...

24 Wearing With Pride

When your nine year old weaves a 12ft long scarf on a peg loom for your birthday present, you’d better #werk #fashionfriday #thecarpoollineismyrunway#proudmom

Oh for God's sake, give this woman the trophy for Mom of the Year. Celebrity moms like Jennifer are constantly stalked by the paparazzi so that pictures of what they're wearing can be splashed all over the tabloids (and remarked upon), but Jennifer didn't give a hoot.

Yes, that 12 ft scarf looks like it weighs 500 lbs and she's probably not going to end up on any "best dressed list," but she's rocking it anyway because that's just what good moms do for their kids.

Not only that, but this picture was taken in the carpool line at school because she's just like us!

23 Zero The Hero

SPOTTED on the 100th Day of School: ZERO THE HERO! 💯🎩⭕️ #fbf#thethingswedoforkids#blinkandyoumisshim #alldonebeingaman

Many schools celebrate the 100th day of kindergarten in different ways, but the school Jennifer's kids go to celebrates it with a visit from "Zero The Hero" every year. Although this year's hero was none other than Jennifer herself, we'd never know it was her because she went all out in the costume department! Honestly, she looks pretty good as a mysterious, bearded man! Is there nothing this woman can't do?!

22 Working Mom Goals

Live streaming the school talent show from set = have your cake and eat it, too. #workingmom #pixelatedbutcute#imissthehugafter

Jennifer Garner definitely seems to be the most hands-on mom in Hollywood, but even she has to go to work to pay the bills. Being a working mom isn't easy, but it looks like Jennifer has found some technology hacks to help her out along the way.

Live-streaming the school talent show is a great idea for parents who simply can't be in two places at once, and it looks like Jennifer is taking full advantage of it.

I'm willing to bet that absolutely nothing could have pulled her away from that screen, and I'm sure she got that hug after (just a little belatedly).

21 Chaperone Duties

Taking a Girl Scout to pee at 4am is ❤️❤️❤️❤️. #roarandsnore#chaperonelife #ourtentwasnexttothelions#thelionsdonotsleeptonight #ytho

Jennifer posted this picture to Instagram during a troop camping trip, proving to all of us that when it comes to the Girl Scouts, she's pretty #rideordie. Taking a little girl to the restroom at 4 a.m. is serious chaperone duty, not to mention doing it next to a group of restless lions at the zoo who (apparently) were keeping everyone awake. Honestly, I can't say I'd be willing to sign up for the late-night shift, but Jennifer Garner is all-in and committed to the cause. Well done.

20 Walking Them To School Herself

Jennifer Garner obviously makes walking to school with her kids a priority, because she is constantly having her picture snapped by the paparazzi while doing it. Do other famous moms do this on a regular basis? Nope, which is why she is one of the most well-loved celebrity moms out there.

Some celebrities might "stage" a walk to school every now and then, but Jennifer Garner does it all the time and doesn't bother to dress up for the occasion.

It's clear that Jen's not doing it for the exposure or the accolades, she's just doing it because she wants to. How refreshing.

19 Kayaking With Kids

On a pre-middle-school sneak away with my eldest...Did I get us lost in a kayak? Yes.

Did we paddle as hard as we could for 100 hours and end up in a shipping lane? I’m afraid so. 😬Did we have to be rescued? Yup.

#thesunsetwasabigupside#shenevercomplained #thankyoumattias#welovedyousweden 🇸🇪

Jennifer "mommed so hard" on a pre-middle school kayaking adventure that she ended up having to get rescued by the Swedes, and it only makes us love her more. First of all, kudos to Jennifer for making some one-on-one time with her oldest daughter to begin with! Pre-middle school jitters are a thing, and it was nice of Jen to try and get her mind off of it, even if it did lead to misadventure.

18 Mom Life

Celebrities, they're just like us!

Every single time I get out of the car. 💯. How? Why? 😩🤣 ❤️ #notstaged #notaproblem #ivegotit#iknowyoufeelme

This picture sums up everything moms love about Jennifer Garner in one post. What regular mom doesn't get out of the car with their arms full of homework, water bottles, hats, notebooks, book bags, etc.? It's nice to know that she isn't immune to the daily mom struggle, despite the fact that she's rich, beautiful, famous... (you get the idea).

Some celebrity moms have a legion of nannies to take care of menial tasks like this, but Jennifer loves to keep it real (and we love her for it).

17 Hawking Girl Scout Cookies

Why yes, kind sir, we do have Thin Mints. #tistheseason #comeandgetem #whodoesntloveagirlscout

I wouldn't believe that this was Jennifer Garner on the street corner hawking Girl Scout cookies if she hadn't posted it on Instagram herself! Children of celebrities join something as normal and plebeian as the Girl Scouts?! That's news to me! I figured they had their own GOOP-inspired celebrity kid version called "Female Vanguards" or something. Honestly, Jennifer could afford to buy ALL the cookies for the entire troop and save them some time and effort, but she knows it's all about the experience. Good for her.

16 Serving Up Salsa On Halloween

This Halloween Jennifer posted a video of herself making some homemade Tomatillo Salsa while dressed as a witch because of course she freaking did!

She acted like a witch too, making it even more extra. Does Jennifer have a make-up artist just sitting around her house? Probably, because her witch make-up is ON POINT.

Seriously, this really makes me want to up my mom game in a big way. I bet the salsa tasted amazing, too (she captioned the video with her recipe on Instagram). In the recipe she also made a note that the full gallon size bag of tomatillos were grown from her own garden, making her one of those moms that we'd all love to hate if she wasn't so dang nice.

15 Jennifer Plus Three

Just as we'd expect her to, Jennifer took her three kids to the dedication ceremony for her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Jennifer kept it simple with a few words for her kids in lieu of a lengthy acceptance speech.

“For my children, when you walk over this star, I want you to remember first of all that I love you and that this is about hard work and good luck and not a whole lot else,” she said.

“You define me, not this wonderful spot on the pavement,” she added, before joking, “Also, for the record, don’t spend too much time on Hollywood Boulevard.”

14 That Wholesome Life

Jennifer's backyard is basically just a healthy eating oasis, which must be nice, right?!  Jennifer is constantly posting pictures on Instagram of herself picking fresh blueberries, plucking blood oranges from trees, hanging out with chickens, and harvesting her own honey from a honeycomb. No, I am not even exaggerating, this is all happening in her backyard in LA (which I'm sure isn't a typical "yard," but I digress). She recently told the website Well+Good that picking blueberries with her kids is one of their "little traditions." Sounds like she's not the kind of mom who sends her kids to school with a bag of Pepperidge Farm Goldfish (raises hand).

13 Hilarious Family Traditions

TO THE CROWS: BOO! #quieterthanthehumanversions#familytradition #ohpleaseyesihadhelp

Recently Jennifer took to Instagram to reveal the scarecrow versions of her three children, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel.

This isn't a one-off either, because according to her caption it's a family tradition (and yes, she did have some help). It appears that Jennifer even went as far as to use her kids' actual clothes to dress her creations. She also posted about heading to the pumpkin patch so she could bake some pumpkin maple muffins because somehow, in the midst of making homemade scarecrows, she has time to be the queen of the kitchen, too. Must be nice!

12 Halloween Fun

If these past few posts have shown us anything, it's that Jennifer Garner loves to celebrate Halloween in a big way. Here's a picture of her walking around her Brentwood neighborhood in LA with her kids in full-costume, and it wasn't even trick-or-treating time yet! Knowing Jen, every single one of those costumes is homemade and the cotton was probably picked from free-range sheep living in her backyard. Honest to God, I'm probably not that far off the mark. She probably sewed them herself after a movie premiere.

11 Snack Duty

Jennifer Garner is always being pictured at her son's baseball games, oftentimes carrying a big bag of his equipment, but this time she was caught on snack duty for his team. Regular moms would just be lazy and pick up a 24-pack bag of fun-size chips for the occasion, but Jennifer appears to be bringing something fresh and homemade (probably picked from her garden, of course). Even though she's clearly the perfect type who makes other moms feel inferior, we can't argue that she appears to be winning this motherhood thing.

10 Family Fun Runs

Last year Jennifer Garner was spotted at a fun run with her three kids and dog on a Sunday morning (apparently Ben was also registered but wasn’t spotted with his family).

This picture proves that she's not just a good human mom, she's also a great dog mom! The event, which offered a 10k, 5k and a Kiddie K fun run drew over 1,500 participants with all proceeds benefiting Upward Bound House, a provider of housing and services to homeless families with children under the age of 18.

9 Ultimate Soccer Mom

Honestly, I don't know how Jen finds the time to do it all. Three kids, an acting career, fame, cooking from scratch, chaperone duty and always being present for all of her kids' sports practices? It's really quite impressive. Here she is at her daughter's soccer practice, but that's not the only practice she's been spotted at! Jennifer has been seen at baseball games, soccer games and basketball games because her kids seem to be involved in everything (the apples didn't fall far from the tree).

8 Hands-On, All The Time

Did you honestly think that Jennifer Garner would let a nanny take her kids to the playground and teach them how to use the monkey bars?! This isn't the Kardashians we're talking about (who wouldn't do it unless the cameras were rolling, let's be honest).

Most celebrity moms who deign to take their child to the peasant's playground make sure to look famous, but Jennifer just looks like a typical mom in her tennis shoes and capris.

If I saw her at the playground I wouldn't even notice because she's clearly there for her daughter and not for herself.

7 "Yes" Day

My kids’ favorite day of the year is based on the wonderful book “Yes Day!” by @missamykr #YesDay 2018. ✅ #deeplyregretthis #kidsmademedoit #yesistheonlyanswer🤷🏻‍♀️

Every mom knows that being a parent means having to say "no" a lot, and it can get a little exhausting. A "yes day" involves saying yes whatever the kid wants, like pizza for breakfast, food fights, late bedtimes (or, in Jennifer's case, free falling down a slide) . The concept comes from Amy Krouse Rosenthal's popular children's book, Yes Day!, and Jennifer has embraced it and made it a tradition in her house every single year.

6 Firetruck Rides

In a seriously wholesome display of patriotism, Jennifer Garner once took her two younger children on a ride atop a fire truck during a Fourth of July parade in Los Angeles (decked out in red, white and blue no less). Equipped with smiles and miniature American flags, the kids waved to everyone and seemed to enjoy participating in some good, old-fashioned Americana alongside their mom. I bet after this ride was over they went home and munched on homemade sweet potato chips and organized their own fireworks display (that just seems like a Jennifer-ish thing to do).

5 Farming Mama

Jennifer recently posted this picture to Instagram along with the caption, Look, Mom, your farm has come to life!

It sure has, because apparently she has 700 blueberry bushes, 50 fuyu persimmon trees, three cows, two farmers (her Uncle Robert and Aunt Janet)  and one "wannabe farmer" (herself). With help from her Aunt and Uncle, Jen has turned her old family farm into a site to grow produce for Once Upon a Farm, the organic fresh baby food company she recently co-founded.

Like her mother, Jennifer values fresh food and refuses to give processed food to her children.

"Mom did not believe in processed food. So, everything we had was homemade. If it was a cookie, it was a homemade cookie."
