No price can be placed on safety, and no one knows that better than the Kardashian sisters. Especially ever since Kim’s infamous ordeal two years ago in Paris, the entire Kardashian family has taken security to the next level, not only to ensure their own safety but even more importantly, that of their kids.

Between the three of them, Kim, Kourtney, and Khloé Kardashian have seven kids. Despite what happened to her, Kim has made it very clear that her priority lies within making sure her kids, North, Saint, and Chicago, are always safe and accounted for. The same goes for Khloé’s daughter, True Thomson, and Kourtney’s kids Mason, Penelope, and Reign.

While most parents experience a heart flutter if their kids disappear for a half a second at the grocery store, that is not a feeling these Kardashian moms ever experience because of the next-level security measures and precautions they have implemented over the years. Prevention is certainly key in their minds because they would much rather impose strict rules on the people they hire, instead of risking going through what Kim went through just a little over two years ago.

Let’s have a look at the 20 extra safety measures the Kardashians take every day to protect their babies.

20 Kim Still Takes The Same Precautions As 2 Years Ago

Think that just because it's been two years, Kim has forgotten about her Paris ordeal? That’s not about to happen any time soon. In fact, her level of security is still completely the same.

A source told US Weekly, “Kim is still taking precautions since Paris. She still has 24/7 security. The amount has still stayed the same since the robbery. She is always aware of who is around and where she is staying.”

She has made it abundantly clear that she never wants to go through feeling vulnerable the way she did in her hotel room back then but more than anything, she also makes sure her kids are always safe.

19 100k Per Day For Military Personnel

Her kids’ safety is actually her number one priority – as it should be! A source told Page Six, “The kids being [taken] is Kim’s biggest [worry]. “She previously didn’t want to shell out for armed security, but now she realizes the family needs 24-hour protection.”

As a result, Kim and Kanye don’t even bat an eyelid at shelling out $100,000 per DAY on security. That’s more than most make in a YEAR!

These are no budget security measures either. According to E! News, they pay “top dollar […] for a 24-hour period”. Their mansion will also usually be surveilled by up to 30 security guards.

Think North, Saint, and Chi are safe enough?

18 State-of-The-Art Security Systems

Not too surprisingly, Kim also “has a state-of-the-art security system at her home in Calabasas,” according to US Magazine.

In an interview with The View, Kim explained, “The things that were important to me before and the things I liked to show off before are definitely not the things I like to show off now.”

In fact, even her mom told Us, "It's an eye-opener how many people have tried to access our homes. We're protected to a crazy level."

While Kim spares no expense when it comes to security, so do Kourtney and Khloé for their own kids, just in a less grand way. After all, Kim’s net worth is $350 million, according to Forbes, while Kourtney’s is $35 million, and Khloe’s is $40 million.

17 Even Kylie Was Denied Access

Unlike Taylor Swift’s security, there’s no one getting into Kylie's mansion without going through a rigorous security process akin to the one we all have to go through at an airport. Even Kylie couldn’t get through the gates!

People detailed how in a Snap, Kylie recorded herself trying to get into her own home, “So, I just pulled up to my gate and I was like, you know, normal routine, ‘Hey, it’s Kylie Jenner.’ You know, waits for the gate to open, and he was like, ‘Are you with Kylie Jenner?’“

“I was like, ‘Oh no. It’s the Kylie Jenner.’ And it’s just the first time I was able to say that in a proper conversation,” she added. “I never thought I’d be able to say that.”

16 They Alter Their Kids' Appearances

When it comes to the Kardashian sisters, their immense love of Facetune and Photoshop is certainly no secret. Wavy lines, over touched pictures, slender-looking features… they have done it all and continue to do it despite the persistent criticism. The trouble is that their aim to portray a perfect life also extends to their kids.

Case in point this picture of Chicago that Kim posted online. As cute as it is, many also claimed that she Facetuned her daughter’s face. The question here is whether she did it to portray perfection or if she had security on her mind. There’s a chance that she’s actually trying to maintain some of her kids’ privacies. Extreme or brilliant?

15 And Use A Ton Of Filters

But Kim K certainly isn’t the only one to employ these methods. For her part, Khloé is known for her love of Snapchat, which she now extends to her daughter True Thomson as well. Remember when the first ever picture she posted of her daughter was one with a Snapchat filter? Since then, she has posted many similar pictures and often posts Snaps of herself and her daughter with the famous filters.

But just as Kylie had scrubbed her social media clean of any pictures of her daughter Stormi when she was first born, all of the Kardashian sisters’ heavy use of filters may actually be for their kids’ privacy.

14 Kids Have 1 Bodyguard Each

Although all three of the Kardashian sisters have tons of bodyguards on rotation, Kim has gone a step further by also hiring one bodyguard for each one of her three kids. As we already covered, Kim’s biggest worry is for something to happen to her kids, which she undoubtedly views as easy targets. We all know what it’s like to take kids to the store or the mall but the trouble is tenfold for her given the dozens of strangers she is constantly surrounded by – she can’t even go to a restaurant without being asked for selfies and autographs! With that in mind, she definitely understands the need for an extra pair of eyes on each kid at all times.

13 They Send Undercover Paparazzi

While security expert Aaron Cohen wouldn’t confirm whether he works for the Kardashians or not, he did tell Vanity Fair that he hasn’t hesitated to plant his people as fake paparazzi.

“It allows me to have a really close set of eyes and ears to the really [intense] paparazzi because my guy is in there taking photos of us. And then we can relay that information to law enforcement,” he explained.

It would be easy to think that the Kardashian sisters employ this tactic as well. Not only does it allow them to control the narrative being said about them and their kids but they also get to find if any of the paparazzi are planning anything underhanded.

12 Nannies Must Be Squeaky Clean

If you thought that just anyone with a glowing resume akin to Mary Poppins’s experience could get hired for the Kardashian sisters, then you’re in for a surprise. Not only do the nannies they employ need to have extensive child-raising experience but they also need to have a completely clean background. You can expect a full background check, complete with DMV checks and anything else they can possibly look into — we wouldn’t be surprised if they also do credit checks! For sure they also call up each and every reference to get the absolute scoop on the nanny applying to take care of their kids.

11 And They Must Sign Long NDAs

Not too surprisingly, Kardashian nannies also have to sign lengthy non-disclosure agreements. On her website, Kim explained, “This is the kind of stuff we have to deal with every day. People looking for [anything] and creating […] stories just to make a name for themselves. You can’t get away with it."

With the number of people they employ, from security personnel to nannies, cooks, and everybody in between, it’s not that surprising that some of them would have dollar signs in their eyes. In fact, Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney strengthened their NDAs even more after a member of the staff was caught trying to take pictures of their half-sister Kylie while she was pregnant.

10 Kim Has A Body Double

Just because you think you may have caught a glimpse of the Kardashians and their kids doesn’t actually mean it was them. Given Kim’s iconic look, it’s actually easier for her to hire a body double that looks just like her. For Khloé and Kourtney, it’s slightly more challenging but we wouldn’t put it past them either!

But according to the International Business Times, Kim and Kanye have even “taken it up a notch by [...] dropping $500,000 on a body double for their 13-month-old baby daughter North West. The body double is [...] a splitting image of their baby daughter and was found through auditions held for the purpose. The intention behind the move to hire a double is to throw off paparazzi who are hounding the famous couple and their child.”

9 Her Surrogate Wasn't  In The Spotlight Either

It’s no secret that Kim used a surrogate for her third child, Chicago, born at the start of 2018. But it’s important to note that it’s also not the first time that a major celebrity has publicly gone the surrogacy road. But as Vogue pointed out, the trouble lies within the public’s reaction since back in 2009, Sarah Jessica Parker was vocal about the way in which some fans treated her surrogate, going so far as accessing her phone and personal computer and making worrying comments.

Undoubtedly, this would have been at the forefront of Kim’s mind during the pregnancy as she kept her surrogate out of the spotlight as best as she could.

8 Nannies Aren't Allowed To Take Pics Of The Kids

Kids constantly do funny, cute or eyebrow-raising things but if the Kardashian kids do anything like that, their nannies are not allowed to take a pic.

It only makes sense given that all three of the Kardashian sisters, Kim, Khloé, and Kourtney, are always on their toes when it comes to the personnel they employ. It’s easy for anyone to snap a quick picture and send it to the media for a quick buck. The nannies certainly know better though and none of them ever risk it. If they ever did, they would most certainly lose their jobs and be barred from working as a nanny for anyone else.

7 Or Talk To The Media

With not being allowed to snap any pictures – no matter how cute — it also makes complete sense that Kardashian nannies would be completely forbidden from speaking to the media.

“You might think that everything about this family is public and on TV, however, behind the scenes, the family keeps a lot of secrets and wants to make sure that the people who work for them keep the secrets too,” a source told Straight Shutter. “No one on their team should be talking to the media. The family wants to always control what is said and if it takes legal documents to make sure this happens, so be it.”

In case you haven’t noticed, nannies are never shown on the Keeping Up With The Kardashians TV show either!

6 They Now Wear Minimal Jewelry

Given what happened to Kim two years ago when she lost $10 million worth of jewelry, the Kardashian sisters now go a step further by making sure to wear minimal jewelry while out and about, an initiative that also extends to the kids. Even on the red carpet, they tend to go light on the jewelry, choosing instead to shine a spotlight on their clothes (although minimal as well).

The same goes for the personnel employed the Kardashians, especially the nannies. No one is allowed to go extravagant with the accessories, not only because the Kardashian sisters and their kids are supposed to be the stars but also for security reasons.

5 All Paparazzi Pics Must Be K-Approved

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, “Kardashian West tips Splash photographers off to her whereabouts and in return gets a percentage of what they make on sales of her image. She selects the pictures and they are photoshopped, it's common knowledge over here, each and every pap knows,' Seyfarth told Fairfax Media.”

Surprising? Not so much, but it does explain why some unflattering pictures of either Kim, Khloé, Kourtney, or their kids mysteriously become harder to find on the web. Not only do the Kardashians make sure only the pictures they select are circulated but also get the ones they don’t like removed from popular news sites. And while Kim denies altering paparazzi pictures, many people aren’t so convinced.

4 Kardashian Newborns Aren't Allowed Outside

As Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt would know, celebrity newborn pictures can certainly fetch a pretty penny (in their case, they actually sold pictures of their twin newborns Knox and Vivienne for as much as $14 million to Hello! and People).

Given how money-oriented the Kardashians are, this is certainly at the forefront of their minds too. Not only did their half-sister Kylie Jenner completely conceal her pregnancy but she also stayed home with her baby Stormi in the beginning. The same goes for Kim, Khloé, and Kourtney, who mostly keep out of the spotlight with their newborns, which is also done as a preventative safety measure.

3 They're Very Picky About Kids' Pics

Sometimes they’re like an open book and other times, the Kardashian sisters hunker down and refuse to divulge anything at all. The same goes for pictures of their kids. Not only are they all very selective of the pictures they post of their children but they’re also very careful that the background doesn’t give out too many details. Not only are the pictures usually taken close-up but you usually wouldn’t be able to guess their location just by trying to analyze the background. That’s a major step security-wise given how much their whole brands are founded on oversharing but it’s certainly a necessary one to protect their young ones.

2 Nannies Can't Use Their Phones

Not only are Kardashian nannies not allowed to take pictures of the kids, but they’re also not allowed to use their phones at all!

The reason for this is that they are required to keep a constant watch on the kids and if they check a message on their phone… then, obviously, they wouldn’t be doing the job they were hired to do. They are also expected to take the fall in the event anything were to happen (e.g. one of the kids tripping), so the pressure is even greater.

Fortunately, the only exception is in the event of an emergency: then, and only then, can they actually use a phone. Phew!

1 Kids Aren't Allowed Their Own Social Media Accounts

Although there are already a few fan pages dedicated to most of the kids, especially Khloé’s daughter True Thomson, and all three of Kim’s kids, North, Saint, and Chicago, don’t expect them to start posting to their own official accounts any time soon. Of course, all of their social media handles are already reserved and waiting for them though – even their website domains!

Asked if she worries about her kids being on social media, Kim said, as per Celebretainment, “Yeah, absolutely. There's times where I'm comfortable to post, and then times when I pull back a little bit. There's certain things that I ... even when North was doing my make-up and she was having the tantrum, I'm like 'Do I wanna post that?' And then I was like, oh it's too funny I have to. But there are some things when I'm like, you know what, let's not post that."

Both for security reasons and with the intention of continuing the Kardashian brand, it’s 100% certain that everything the kids eventually start posting will be heavily controlled.
