The holidays are such a joyous season, but it's so important to remember that not all families are able to experience the same joy and wonder that we try to create for ourselves and our own children. During the holidays, it can be especially difficult for families who are struggling financially, in tenuous or dangerous situations, or for people who have no where to go. We always do as much as we can to help others, but feel especially called to do so during the holidays. Knowing how much our kids Christmas, we want to make sure that kids everywhere can have the same joyful experience! Which is why we are so in love with 10-year old Dominic and his charity, Dom's Pyjamas. As young as he is, Dominic has been helping children in need during the holidays for several years already, and each year, his pajama-and-book gift drive gets even bigger.

Dominic is now 10, and lives in London, England with his family. Three years ago, at the ripe ol' age of 7, Dominic began collecting pajamas and books to gift to children who would be spending Christmas in homeless shelters after fleeing domestic violence situations in their homes. He collected pj's and books through donations, and wrapped them so the kids would have a gift to open, and would have fresh pajamas to wear and a bedtime story on Christmas Eve. Since he started Dom's Pyjamas, he's collected and distrubuted hundreds of books and pajama sets for kids in need, and this year, the response to his call for donations has been massive.

But Dominic's charitable work doesn't end at the holidays. He created his very own t-shirt, and sells them to raise awareness on plastic pollution. He donates the proceeds from his shirt sales to charities whose focus is ocean protection and preservation. You can find out more about how to donate pajamas or books to Dom's Pyjamas on his website. Dominic collects donations throughout the year, and then spend his holiday season wrapping and delivering the gifts to kids in need. What a beautiful soul he has!
