Lauren Mancke, a mom of three has been making Halloween costumes every year for her kids, and this year, she decided to make Schitt's Creek costume in honor of the crew that scooped various Emmy awards. In honor of her family's favorite comedy show, Lauren designed costumes that mimic the Schitt's Creek characters for her 6-year-old son Fox and 3-year-old twin girls Marigold and Lera. The costume came out just perfect! Just like in the past years, Lauren will create a costume for every day in October to commemorate Halloween. However, this year Lauren has chosen to dress up her kids as Schitt's Creek characters using her DIY skills.
The Schitt's Creek wardrobe has come to life in Lauren's family, and fans would be seeing her kids on Instagram dressed up as Johnny, Moira, David Rose, or Alexis, for this year's Halloween costume. Their costume is budget-friendly and easy to make. Lauren shared on Instagram a photo of her kids dressed up as Schitt's Creek characters, and fans went wild in the comment section. Her son Fox dressed up as Johnny and David in the picture, thanks to Photoshop, the two characters came to life in one picture. Lera dressed up as floppy-hat-clad Alexis while Marigold took up the character of Moira.
According to POPSUGAR, Lauren said that she would love to bring joy to people through dressing her kids to mimic certain funny characters from movies and comedy shows. After losing her grandmother to the coronavirus in May, Lauren wants to remind people that Halloween is there, and it can be celebrated in creative and funny ways.
She chose the Schitt's Creek costume as a way of congratulating them for the amazing job they do in the show and for winning various awards in the Emmys. Lauren says that the group deserved the awards because they have amazing talent.
For Moira Rose, we would see the girls putting on the red bob wigs, gold necklaces, zip patterned skirt, and leopard print blazers. Fox would wear some bespoke suits and bushy eyebrows to bring Johnny Rose's character to life. However, if he decides to dress up as David Rose, he would have to put on a lightning print sweatshirt, men's kilt, canvas sneakers, and white goggle sunglasses.
For Alexis' Halloween costume, the girls would need a floppy wool hat, fringe cardigan, cut-off shorts, and ankle booties. To bring out Stevie Budd, the girls would have to wear jeans pants, a plaid button-down shirt, black eyeliner, low-top sneakers, and many dry wits. This must be fun for the family, and the kids must look forward to Halloween every year.
